Brendan Clark

Outreach Director

Brendan Clark is the Director of Outreach at the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Red Rock, Oklahoma. He serves as a liaison to Veterans and their families to provide various resources.

Brendan holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies with a security focus, primarily regarding BRICS and MENA studies.

Before joining the Cohen Clinic at Red Rock Brendan was a Green and Gold Congressional Aide and Field Representative for US Representative Stephanie Bice in Oklahoma City. His portfolio there included Veterans, military, rural, and agricultural issues, and awareness, as well as correspondence regarding grant requests.

Brendan was born in Elk City, Oklahoma, and has lived in Canute, Burns Flat, Cordell, Kiefer, Sapulpa, Norman, Moore, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His Great-grandfather served in the US Navy in the Great War, multiple Great-uncles served in the Second World War and Vietnam, and his father served in the US Army during the First Gulf War alongside 2 of his uncles. The history of military service in his family inspired him to outdo all of them by being the first Clark to serve in the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS.

Brendan joined the USMC in September 2008, surviving Recruit Training in sunny San Diego before moving on to Radio Repair school aboard Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center 29 Palms, California. While in 29 Palms, Brendan was a member of the Lake Bandini Swim Team and received the Warrior Award upon graduation from Ground Communication Organizational Repair Course. From there, he was assigned to Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley Butler’s G6, as a telephone systems repairman stationed aboard Camp Foster from 2009-2011. When his time in Okinawa was done, he returned to CONUS to execute orders to First Battalion, First Marine Regiment’s S6 as a radio repairman. In 2012, 1/1 deployed to Afghanistan, where Brendan worked as a Watch Chief, Watch Officer, provisional Rifleman, Sergeant of the Guard, Assistant Company Level Intelligence Clerk, and radio repairman for Bravo Company during combat operations in both the Kajaki district as well as during an extension aboard Camp Leatherneck following the attack on Camp Bastion in September 2012. After returning CONUS, Brendan latmoved to Combat Engineer, spending 2013-2017 with the 7th Engineer Support Battalion, and deploying to Darwin, Australia as an Engineer Squad Leader with Combat Logistics Detachment-1, Combat Logistics Battalion-1 in support of Marine Rotational Force-Darwin in 2015.

After the end of his active service, Brendan attended the University of Oklahoma utilizing the GI Bill, where he developed an appreciation for central Oklahoma and chased tornados for a couple of years, when he wasn’t otherwise occupied working as the top hand on the Clark family cattle operation in Greer County, Oklahoma.

He heard amazing things about the Steven A. Cohen Veteran Network, and once he heard the news of an opening for community outreach based out of OKC, he applied immediately. Brendan became aware that serving Veterans is his purpose during his work in the legislator’s office and takes great pride in being a member of a team that has such a unique model to provide mental health support to his post-9/11 brothers and sisters in arms.

In his free time, Brendan enjoys working out, fishing and hunting, engaging in wildlife conservation efforts as time permits, and has a big-time bird dog (really more of a couch dog) named Piper- she will be turning 8 in June 2024. He also holds an 8-game ticket package for the Oklahoma City Dodgers.

Brendan is a huge music listener and recommends the song “16 Tons”- the Jerry Reed version.

Kristen Molloy, MHR, LPC-S

Kristen Molloy, MHR, LPC-S

Lead Clinician

Kristen Molloy, MHR, LPC-S, works with individuals, couples, and families, utilizing evidence-based approaches and focusing on client collaboration to offer person-centered treatment to clients as a Level III Clinician/Therapist. Kristen believes the most important person in the therapy room is the client and only they are the expert of their own life and experiences.

Before joining the Cohen Clinic at Red Rock in Lawton, OK when opening in 2020, Kristen worked with a range of clients from adolescents to adults, including military and civilian populations at a mental health inpatient hospital for approximately 6 years total, with about 4 of those years as a teacher to the children and adolescents, and then transitioning into the therapeutic setting. During her time as a clinician, she has worked in outpatient and hospital settings.

Being a clinician/therapist is Kristen’s second career. Previously, Kristen was an educator for about 15 years utilizing her Bachelor of Science from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha, OK in teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing with an emphasis on elementary education. During Kristen’s first year of teaching, it was at a specialized school for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, before moving closer to home to teach 5th grade for two years. Then, she moved to the high school level to implement a new language into the school system with American Sign Language. Wrapping up her time as an educator was the final four years at the inpatient facility teaching the children and adolescents. Being a lifelong learner and teacher, Kristen believes it is crucial to help others in ways in which she has been helped. She loves to come alongside new clinicians in the clinic, as well as interns, students, and fellows to assist in their journeys and learning.
Kristen grew up in the back door of Ft. Sill near Lawton, OK, and has resided in this area for her entire life. Kristen’s grandfather, several uncles, and father-in-love all served in the military. From a young age, Kristen’s mother (being a military child) instilled the importance of honoring and giving back to military families, not only talking about it but taking action by living it out and providing housing at times for friends in our own home for military families, being “family” for military families who were away from blood family by hosting holiday events and encouraging our entire family to continue doing so. After these experiences and seeing the needs of military families through the school systems through the years, many of these things led Kristen to the next part of her journey, earning her master’s degree in human relations with the additional hours for LPC and ultimately to CVN at Red Rock in Lawton. Kristen enjoys helping military families in an environment that was shaped and created for them and is grateful to continue to come alongside clients who have served their country, and their family members.

Kristen resides near Medicine Park. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time reading with many dogs on her lap, traveling, being creative, listening to podcasts, loves hummingbirds and flamingos, and can often be found at a sporting event, local coffee shop, or playing games with her family.
